ADORE Little Children established our special needs program after realise the plight of children with disabilities in the district. The percentage of children was high. Primary Schools in this rural district are not equipped with Development Centres, resources or teachers to assist them with their specific needs or disabilities. In our first assessment information record through interviewing the stakeholders of the village showed that causes of disabilities are mainly due to malnutrition, poor sanitation, lack of midwives or birth services and alcohol and drug abuse or dependency of the parents. Botswana has cases of albinism. These children need extra support due to skin damage and vision impairment. Education Support is given to communities by ADORE Little Children as parent who have a child with Albinism often suffer and discriminated against. We are seen a decrease of disabilities in our fourteen years of operation. Adore is part of the success of some of these improvements as we have acted as a voice for the people of these affected areas in which we service.
