ADORE Kidz Holiday Program was first established when two Canadian Ladies came to visit Adore Little Children Botswana, Janet Lou-Hing and Debbie Fernandes. They came with experience of running Vacation Bible School (VBS) for many years in their local church as well as being Sunday School Teachers and Janet's career in teaching. They brought suitcases full of crafts and activities for the children and asked if they could run a program. As school were closing for one month for the winter it was decided that the children would benefit in so many ways from a holiday program. Each year they build in number and interest has spread from one village to the whole district.  Janet visited every year for six years. She has now gone home to heaven where she rests, but has left a legacy at ADORE. We hold the Holiday Program each year in honour of her passion and love for the children. Debbie still visits and blesses the children with activities and valuable life lessons.  The staff at ADORE can't wait for this time of year. After all their hard efforts of serving the community in all its programs this is a time for them also to play and have fun with their children. At the end of the week the older children 10-14 years have an overnight camp where they enjoy a movie, scrumptious foods, games, stories  and we have our very own 'ADORE Starstruck' which is a talent show and contest. The children  receive gifts of activity packs, clothing, then they invite friends and family for a fashion parade with their new clothing. It is one of the most exciting times of the year for the children. They really look forward to it.
