ADORE Little Children's very first Program was bowls for Botswana. It was created by a lady in Australia who asked if their church could collect bowls for the children to have porridge in, hence that is how the program received its' name. Bowls for Botswana has fed over 11000 people, with an intake of approximately 258 000 individual servings in 14 years, not including our whole village National Celebration Days and Special Events. Our main recipients are all of our children's programs plus our under fours and expectant mothers feeding program where we have delivery drop off points and the food is distributed. Children come alone with their bowls, some walking far distances of up to 2-3 kilometers. Children are mostly fed mabele which is a nutritious porridge. Occasionally we provide beans, samp , maize meal or rice for extra nutrition. with soup. This is also a delicacy.
